
Tom C. Stickel
Tom C. Stickel is the founding
partner of Coronado First Bank and Virtual Capital of California,
LLC. Coronado Bank and Trust is a “proposed new community
bank” designed to serve the unique needs of Coronado.
Virtual Capital of California (founded in 2000) is an entity
that functions in the commercialization of technologies
created at America's major research universities and national
labs including the University of California which is affiliated
with three national labs: Livermore, Los Alamos and Berkeley.
Prior to founding Coronado First Bank and Virtual Capital,
Mr. Stickel founded American Partners Capital Group, Inc.,
a company specializing in institutional investment placement
and corporate governance. From 1983 to 1993 Mr. Stickel
was the founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of
TCS Enterprises, Inc., an American Stock Exchange listed
financial services conglomerate. From 1978 to 1983 Mr. Stickel
was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of
Southern California/Point Loma Savings and Loan. Mr. Stickel
has served on the boards of directors of Sempra Energy (NYSE),
Blue Shield of California and as the Chairman of Onyx Acceptance
Corporation (NASDAQ).
